Meet Josephine Amankwah
Josephine Amankwah serves as the Housing & Support Services Manager at IAMNEXT, where she plays a key role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and empowering experience for young people in the program. Josephine oversees the intake process for new residents and works closely with residents throughout their time with IAMNEXT, helping connect them to the resources, services, and support they need to reach their goals.
In her highly client-facing role, Josephine is often one of the first points of contact for young people seeking assistance, guidance, or connection to services. She also provides oversight to the Case Management team, helping ensure residents receive consistent, individualized support.
Beyond housing and support services, Josephine works closely with the Programming team to develop interactive, educational, and engaging events that create opportunities for residents to build relationships, learn new skills, have fun, and feel connected to their community.
Josephine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and an MBA in Leadership and Organizations of Nonprofits. Prior to joining IAMNEXT, she gained experience in roles including Human Resources Coordinator and Program Manager, bringing a diverse background in administration, leadership, programming, and organizational support to her current role.
What Josephine enjoys most about her work is seeing the difference IAMNEXT makes in the lives of young people. She finds purpose in celebrating the small wins, milestones, and successes of each resident and takes pride in knowing that she has played a meaningful role in someone’s journey. For Josephine, the most rewarding part of the work is watching young people grow, overcome challenges, and move toward a more stable and successful future.
“The small wins matter. Being able to see a young person grow, reach a goal, or overcome a challenge—and knowing I played even a small role in that journey—is what makes this work so meaningful to me.”
