Transportation Support

Pointing the Way Forward

For a young adult aging out of the foster care system, access to reliable transportation completely expands the range of possibilities.

It simplifies and shortens commutes. It makes timelines more manageable and predictable. It opens up options for employment and the requirements of continuing education. Fundamentally, it removes roadblocks on the road to stability, autonomy, and freedom.

Transportation services are an important part of the I Am Next program, and the support of our volunteers and donors allows us to expand and help more emerging adults succeed.

At 21, Jeffrey became the very first graduate of the I Am Next Driving School, an accomplishment that opened new doors for him. Today, he's gainfully employed, paying rent independently, and thriving in his newfound independence.
